Ecommerce company's reputation matters for shoppers buying sports goods

Medallia’s recent research on retail consumer behaviour found that 71% of consumers have shopped at the same grocery store since the lockdowns began.

Customers' retail habits are continually evolving, 37% believe that the pandemic is a concern, but not something to be worried about, as per the study. 23% believe COVID-19 to be a “bigger threat.”

While the general fear of COVID-19 has decreased, despite Delta variant concerns, shopping habits like grocery delivery and curb-side pickup have continued to grow. When it comes to grocery shopping 68% of consumers frequent between two to three grocery stores. 24% just go to one grocery store.

Consumers consider the reputation of an ecommerce company before purchasing sporting goods. Reputation of brands like Amazon, Walmart is considered “extremely important” by 31% and 34% of consumers respectively. In addition, 52% consumers bought and used fewer beauty products.
