Aleyda Solis – an SEO consultant – conducted a poll on Twitter asking SEO professionals about their success rate.

The Twitter poll asked, “What percentage of the SEO Processes/Projects/Initiative that you work at the end up having the “agreed/expected outcome” & are seen as a “success” by the client/stakeholders?” Shockingly, only 14% of SEO professionals said their clients considered a majority (85%) of their projects successful.

Around 22.5% of SEO professionals said their clients considered less than 30% of projects successful. 27.5% of professionals said between 60% and 80% of projects were successful in their clients’ eyes. These numbers indicate that businesses are not entirely satisfied with the performance of their SEO professionals.
