The Google-owned video platform is expanding access to its community posting Tab within Creator Channels.

YouTube has provided creators with more opportunities to engage with their channel visitors by expanding access to its Community posts option. Currently, the Community Tab – available to channels with over 1,000 subscribers – let creators post various update types, including images, GIFs, polls and videos within a dedicated space in the channel feed.

The new update would let channels with even less than 1,000 subscribers get access to this feature. The company claims it would provide more capacity for creators to build community in the app.

The update would also provide a new engagement opportunity for creators to share additional updates, garner viewer feedback and enhance their audience connection. YouTube has reportedly been working on this for the past few months by adding post metrics and post scheduling features.
