The Q&A social media platform will offer the plan while keeping its existing content free for readers.

Quora has announced a new subscription plan that will allow users to pay for exclusive content. Called Quora+, the plan comes at $5 a month and $50 a year. The platform has also offered a 30 day free trial of Quora+.

While only a select number of creators and curators will initially participate in the subscription plan, more creators in the Quora community are expected to be invited at later stages. Subscribers will be paying the subscription fee to the platform, which will pay creators in proportion to the amount of content consumed by each user.

While Quora’s latest offering will allow creators to monetise their content, brands can also use the platform to engage target audiences. Along with running ads, marketers can respond to queries relevant to the brand and the industry at large. Similarly, they can also create Quora “Spaces” to interact with community members.
