The social media giant’s Messenger has released camera stickers in collaboration with Latin American artist Nicole Medina.
Facebook’s recent Global State of Small Business Report found that Hispanic-led businesses were the most likely to report being closed in the United States. As a part of its several new initiatives, the social media giant has added dedicated mentorship, programs and training for Hispanic and Latinx business owners on its Facebook Elevate initiative.
The company will also host various panels to support small business owners from Hispanic and Latinx communities throughout the month. The company’s Facebook Watch would soon feature new episodes of Daytime Emmy Award-nominated series “Red Table Talk: The Estefans”, which spotlight major Latinx artists with unique stories about their heritage.
Facebook users will see exclusive music videos of artists including J Balvin and Mon Laferte on the platform throughout the month. Additionally, Instagram collaborated with emerging music artists and creators from the Latinx community to showcase how multiculturalism would set the tune of the future. The image-sharing app has also teamed up with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to celebrate creators in the Latinx community.
