Top SVOD content services see varying degrees of overlap

The observation is based on two charts released by Reelgood.

As per Reelgood’s analysis, there is noticeable overlap in content among the most popular content streaming services. Where 21% of TV shows on Peacock are also present on Hulu, 7% of Hulu’s TV shows are on Peacock too.

11% of TV content on Showtime is on Amazon Prime Video. Further, Netflix shares 3% of its TV show content with Amazon Prime Video and 5% with Hulu. Paramount Plus and HBO Max share 10% and 9% respectively with Hulu.

The article observes Hulu as “the most prolific licensor of content.” In case of movies, 15% of those on Hulu are also on Paramount Plus. 11% of those on Peacock are on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, Paramount Plus sees an 8% overlap of its movie content with Amazon Prime Video.
