Twitter is investing in esports content after joining hands with Emerge Esports. Their combined experience will drive constant dialogue within the regional esports scene between fans, professional gamers and brands.
Emerge Esports’ chief executive officer and founder Roy Kek said he believes their collaboration will enhance the quality of content while also equipping their global creators with the right channel to post their ideas in a better way. The partnership would further enable content creators to secure additional revenue through Twitter’s Amplify Program and Media Studio, which will let them create exclusive content for a wider audience.
Twitter’s head of sports and gaming partnerships, SEA and Greater China, Maurizio Barbieri said, “The partnership does not only reflect our commitment to support Singapore’s growing esports community but also provides gamers with opportunities to showcase and celebrate esports content on Twitter in Singapore and across the globe.” Barbieri further added that they are looking to strengthen their position as the “go-to social platform” for the latest sports updates.
