A “Collabs” option will help creators tag friends and extend reach among connections.
Instagram has rolled out new options for users to collaborate on feed posts and Reels on the platform. Users can invite other users to collaborate on a post or a reel using the "Collabs" option in the post composer.
An in-app pop-up will appear on users’ screens with collaborative requests, and the post will appear on both users’ profile grids. Also, collaborating users can now appear on the final post/Reel, and each of them will have access to organic information such as views, likes, and more.
However, Instagram states the options offer a way to “co-author a post or a reel”, as opposed to co-creating content since the post can be from only one creator. Additionally, Instagram has launched new music-focused, AR-aligned creator tools to enhance music interaction on the app.
