Apart from a dedicated Collectibles tab, NFTs on profile pictures will display a small badge verifying their authenticity.
Twitter is working on a Collectibles tab to display a user's NFT collection, and it's starting to take shape. In September, Twitter's software engineer Mada Aflak tweeted a video showcasing how users may connect their crypto wallets from providers like Coinbase, and more.
Users can then choose which NFTs they want to use as profile pictures, and all of their collections will be saved in a section called Collectibles on their profile. Also, Twitter is developing a view allowing users to get a close-up look at an NFT. Clicking on the page reveals detailed information about the NFT.
Jane Manchun Wong from Twitter recently displayed the feature’s latest changes in a recent Tweet. However, developer, Nathan Lawrence, notes that Twitter probably has integrated NFTs into their interface. The article observes, as per Lawrence’s comment, that Twitter’s misinformation prevention tool Birwatch is “hidden” within a dedicated portion of the site. This is critical as the tool helps flag misinformation on the platform.
