The revised 2022 forecast for UK ad spending is predicted to increase 7.7% to be over $43.3 billion.
According to the Advertising Association and WARC Expenditure Forecast, the average increase in ad spend across the EU5 markets including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK is anticipated to be approximately 15%. However, projected to reach $10.7 billion (7.9 billion pounds) advertising spend in the UK is expected to outperform the rest of Europe.
Further, ad spending growth in the UK is expected to outperform projections published in July. The second-highest growth in ad spend is anticipated from Germany, followed by France, Italy, and Spain.
In Q4 2021, TV advertising is expected to grow at a 9% annual rate to $2.5 billion, the highest increase in over a decade. Broadcaster video-on-demand is expected to grow by 24.1%.
