The company is pushing businesses to manage their single listing directly on Google Maps and Search.
Google has announced it will rename Google My Business to Google Business Profile. The company has plans to retire the Google My Business app next year completely. Along with claiming their Google Business Profile directly in Search and Maps, businesses can avail new features like Call History.
Similarly, brands can directly message from Google Search. Businesses will also be able to plan local campaign budgets, create ad spend plans and monitor campaign performance using the new Performance Planner feature.
With the update, companies can manage message read receipts in Google Search and Maps. The existing Google My Business web experience will move to support larger businesses with multiple locations. This experience will be renamed “Business Profile Manager”.
