About 45% of US shoppers claim that they have already started preparing for their holiday-season shopping.
When it comes to special offers, 44% of customers say they will wait to buy gifts until they are available on sale. Similarly, 80% of consumers in the US say they will look out for stores that offer discounts and free shipping.
If the product is out of stock, more than a third of US consumers will look for other retailers that offer similar products or brands. Nonetheless, 81% of respondents will stick to stores they are familiar with.
To make the best of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, brands will have to promote their special discounts and deals and focus on in-stock inventory. With customers open to switching brands if their desired items are unavailable, the holiday season is suitable for brands to capture new audiences.
