The platform has also announced “523” - an AR content accelerator program to support small, minority-owned content companies that traditionally lack resources.

Snapchat’s updates to its Lens Studio tool will enable new types of Lens creation that enables better interaction with real-world stimuli like gravity and collisions. Additionally, Lens creators can incorporate elements like weather and the stock market in their content.

Creators can now include a “Lens Call-To-Action” link to drive direct traffic from an AR effect and monetise their work. Snapchat is also advancing its Landmarker Lens tools, which allow users to scan real-world places and objects, and build visuals on top of them.

As far as Spectacles is concerned, Snapchat has added features like “Connected Lenses”, using which multiple users can experience AP elements through a device. Additionally, the “Location Triggers” feature would allow users to build visual availability within a GPS radius.
