Businesses must protect themselves from production delays, supply chain disruptions and instances of products being damaged or stolen in transit
With 44% of all small and midsize businesses (SMBs) reportedly making more than a fifth of their total annual sales from holiday spending, being ready for supply chain mishaps is critical. Around 33% of SMBs are worried about supply chain constraints interrupting their merchandise availability, and 68% are concerned about delivery delays.
Brands need to insure their shipments for various possibilities – right from the cargo truck going up in flames to porch piracy. Finally, 44% of customers will never shop from a retailer they feel did not offer efficient resolution support for stolen or damaged goods.
Brands must simplify the return process by simple add-ons like including a return label in the original package and using reusable packaging that can be used to return the product.
