According to a ClickBank report, online retailers and ecommerce businesses are focussing their online ad spend on five primary channels. The top three channels identified in the report are email marketing, Facebook Ads and affiliate marketing.
The report that surveyed ClickBank’s 100 largest client companies reveals that more than 70% of the businesses generated revenue from three or more marketing channels last year. Email was identified as the most important marketing channel by 28% of the respondents.
Facebook Ads, affiliate/influencer, Google/YouTube and native advertising follow emails. For half of all the surveyed businesses, ad spend is their single biggest investment, compared to spending on software, product creation and headcount.
