In 2022, 53% of US consumers expect to celebrate Valentine's Day. The total gift spending on partners, friends, pets, and other loved ones is predicted to reach $23.9 billion. On average, consumers will spend $175.41 for Valentine’s Day in 2022.

Some of the top online searches for Valentine’s Day include, “Unique Valentine’s Day gifts”, “Valentine’s Day gifts for him”, “Valentine’s Day gifts for mom”, and more. 56% of consumers plan to gift chocolates, followed by greeting cards (40%), and flowers (37%).

Consumers (31%) also plan to present an evening out, and 22% are planning to give jewellery. To increase sales on Valentine's Day, brands must optimise product listings with keywords, provide deals and sales, and promote their listings.
