A recent study by Tailwind assessed over 50 sources and major social media and graphic design influencers.

The report highlights visual social media trends for 2022 that can enhance marketing design and social campaigns, and help brands connect with their target audience. Jet Era's vintage washes, modern lines, and whimsical decoration, along with old typography have become a popular aesthetic trend on social.

In addition, muted organic and simple colours of nature, flower and foliage patterns, and “Matisse's” shapes are popular. Brands can combine these colours with fonts like “Serif” headlines and “Sans Serif” subheads to create all-organic posts

The "Vivid Dreams" design from the 90s, with flashes of colour, patch art, quirky fonts, and plastic florals evoke nostalgia. Zen-inspired lines, luminous gradients, bending shapes, and other design elements are also trending.
