88% of B2B and B2C marketers use content marketing to drive brand awareness

A recent survey of 832 B2B and B2C content marketers by Parse.ly reveals top reasons for content marketing.

According to the report, 88% of B2B and B2C content marketers say that the primary goal of content marketing is to raise awareness. Educating the audience (79%), creating trust/credibility (78%), and generating demand leads (76%) are among the other top reasons.

However, 91% of B2B marketers rank developing brand awareness as the top goal of content marketing, followed by generating demand/leads (85%), and building credibility/trust (81%). Other motivators for B2B marketers include educating audiences, nurturing leads, and driving sales/revenue.

84% of B2C marketers leverage content marketing to build awareness, while 78% use it for educating audiences. B2C marketers also use content marketing to develop trust and credibility, build loyalty with existing consumers and boost sales/revenue.
