The new values will help the company reflect its future vision, as it transitions to Meta.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, Meta, unveiled new values in a letter sent to all employees, in a bid to redefine Meta’s public image. Meta’s previous mission statement, as Facebook, was “Move fast and break things."
However, the new mission statement now reads “Give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.” The list of values introduced by Zuckerberg include, “Move Fast”, “Focus on Long-term Impact”, “Build Awesome Things”, “Live in the Future”, “Be Direct and Respect Your Colleagues”, and “Meta, Metamates, Me.”
Zuckerberg has explained each of these in his letter. "Meta, Metamates, Me," for example, is a value about fostering a stronger sense of togetherness. Zuckerberg encourages all the employees to reflect on the new values.
