56% of American, Canadian businesses will implement video marketing this year

About 17% of US businesses that do not rely on video marketing, choose email marketing instead.

The latest UpCity survey of more than 600 small business professionals in the US and Canada found that 56% of these businesses are implementing video marketing in 2022. While 26% of respondents say their current strategies are not “very effective”, 27% claim their video marketing activities are “very effective”.

Around 47% of the surveyed businesses say their video marketing activities are “somewhat effective”. According to the survey, 71% of the US companies surveyed currently engage in video marketing activities. 17% of US businesses that do not use video marketing prioritize email marketing instead.

When it comes to video production tools, Vimeo tops the list with 23% of the respondents using the tool. VideoScribe (10%) and FlexClip (9%) follow Vimeo. The study also found that 37% of businesses handle video production in-house.
