54% of tech leaders believe data is the key to unlocking and sustaining the metaverse

A Bright Data report found that 47% of respondents are concerned about data compliance and standards while navigating the virtual space.

According to the survey of 400 IT and technology industry leaders across the US and UK, 54% of respondents believe data would be vital in sustaining the metaverse. About 84% of tech leaders across IT, telecom and technology sectors said they are also planning to look at procure data intelligence solutions to be deployed inside virtual worlds in the next two years.  

Similarly, 60% of all IT and tech leaders that are planning to integrate business operations within the metaverse are concerned about data and security. Concerns around employee experience of time and space (38%) follow data concerns.

“It’s an exciting frontier for all, especially for those within the data space. But we must be prepared to measure exactly how much as well as the types of data that organisations require in planning their future business direction”, said Or Lenchner, CEO at Bright Data.
