Pepsi was the sponsor of American football's flagship show for the past ten years.

The NFL has announced that Apple Music will be the new sponsor of its Super Bowl halftime show. With the multi-year sponsorship beginning with this season's Super Bowl, Apple Music replaces Pepsi, which sponsored the show for a decade.

According to analysts, the NFL is expected to get at least $50 million yearly for the rights. Over 120 million viewers watched the previous Super Bowl halftime show.

Simultaneously, Apple is negotiating with the league for rights to the "NFL Sunday Ticket" package of Sunday Games. The package is also being vied by Amazon, Google and the Walt Disney Co.
