Snap, in partnership with Breakthrough, surveyed 7,500 marketers working across auto, health, beauty, fashion, entertainment, and travel, across UK, US and Germany.
The study revealed that when AR is part of the shopping experience, the increase in spending amongst retail/fashion retail consumers could be $11.2 billion. Further, AR's inclusion can also increase spending to $24.9 billion amongst personal care/beauty care consumers.
Further, 73%, 68% and 62% of respondents from US, UK and Germany respectively, believe that AR helps make quicker decisions on what to buy. When AR is part of the shopping experience, respondents (72% US, 68% UK and 60% Germany) would complete more purchases online.
Additionally, 66% (US), 66% (UK) and 61% (Germany) participants would spend more on clothes and accessories than usual. The article shares that brands must take enhanced experiences more seriously.
