Before Meta rolled out this feature, marketers could only create a custom audience for Facebook followers.
The new update by Facebook’s parent company, Meta, allows marketers to target a brand’s Instagram followers within the campaign setup. Brands often have different set of followers on Instagram and Facebook accounts.
With the ad targeting option, brands can reach people who have shown an interest in the product by aiming the brand’s offers and promotions at them. Additionally, brands can also use this feature to source a lookalike audience. The feature provides marketers with an entirely new venue and audience to consider in future marketing strategies.
