BP May Be Turning a Corner

Now that BP has stopped the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico and surface oil seems to be disappearing faster than expected, the beleaguered oil company may have turned a corner with consumers. To be sure, BP is still in the spotlight, and lawyers and politicians are still falling over each other to extract concessions from the company. But BrandIndex data shows that the brand may have hit bottom with consumers, although the road to recovery is likely to be a long one. (+)
