Most Americans have a positive opinion of singer, who won 5 awards at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards
On Sunday night, Kelly Clarkson hosted – and performed – at the Billboard Music awards, a recognition of modern music's most successful acts. Of the several artists recognized for their body of work (as opposed to an individual song), songster Bruno Mars is America's favorite, with 55% of Americans having a positive opinion of him, according to new data from YouGov Ratings.
He's followed by Taylor Swift at 50% and U2, both at 50%. Next on the list is Janet Jackson, who won the Billboard Icon Award, which recognizes her contribution to music – 49% of Americans have a positive opinion of her.
Swift and Jackson are the most famous performers on the list – only 3% and 4%, respectively, of Americans says they haven't heard of the singers.
