14% of Americans haven't heard about the Royal Wedding. On Friday 29th April, Prince William, heir to the throne in Britain, will marry Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London. Despite the media attention the wedding arrangements don't seem to be having a huge impact here in the US.

72% of responders to our YouGov survey were not interested in the Royal Wedding with only 6% very interested.

Relatively few Americans anticipate getting up early to watch the Royal Wedding live on TV, with only 22% likely to be watching live. Women are more enthusiastic with 31% expecting to watch. The wedding procession starts at 10.30 am local London time, 5.30 am EDT and 2.30 am Pacific.

The hoopla surrounding the wedding has not made Americans more enthusiastic about monarchies with negligible support for the concept of the United States having its own royal family.
