Half of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the war in Afghanistan. He will try to win their support when he makes a speech on U.S. strategy on Afghanistan on Wednesday. The killing of Osama bin Laden in early May briefly boosted support for his handling of the war in Afghanistan. However, for several weeks now, opponents of his handling of the war there have outnumbered supporters. This week is no different: 51% disapprove, while 41% approve.
