The 2012 campaign — so far — has been a battle among Republican candidates, and though Democrats are paying attention, Republicans far outpace them in campaign attentiveness. In the latest Economist/YouGov Poll, 34% of Democratic primary voters have been following the campaign “very closely,” but nearly half of Republican voters have.
Far fewer non-primary voters (along with people who are not registered to vote) are paying a lot of attention to the campaign.
