(Week of 3/10/2012) Americans continue to give the President an approval rating in the mid-forties—not great, but better than their ratings of him last summer. In this Economist/YouGov Poll, 45% approve, while 48% don’t.
40% approve of his handling of the economy, one of the highest ratings in recent months. Likewise, the public also feels a little better about the overall state of the economy: in this week’s poll, slightly more say that the economy is getting better than say that it is getting worse.
