Most voters say Biden should continue campaigning while Trump quarantines

As President Donald Trump continues to quarantine following his COVID-19 diagnosis, many are watching Democratic nominee Joe Biden to see how his campaign responds to this development.

The latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll finds that most voters (71%) think that Joe Biden should continue to campaign while Donald Trump is in quarantine. About one in eight (13%) think that he should not do so.

There is bipartisan support for Biden continuing to work as Trump quarantines. Nearly all Democrats (84%), along with a majority of Independents (73%) and 53% of Republicans say Biden should continue campaigning.

Methodology: This Yahoo News survey was conducted by YouGov using a nationally representative sample of 1,202 U.S. registered voters interviewed online from October 2 - 3, 2020. The sample were weighted according to gender, age, race and education based on the American Community Survey, conducted by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, as well as 2016 presidential vote, registration status, geographic region and news interest. Respondents were selected from YouGov’s opt-in panel to be representative of all U.S registered voters. The margin of error is 4.6%.
