Who Doesn't Have Health Insurance?

(Week of 6/23/2012) 21% of those interviewed in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll say they have no health insurance. The figure is higher still for those under 30, for blacks and Hispanics and for those with incomes under $40,000 a year.

Those without coverage are more dissatisfied with their own situation than those who have health care coverage are. But the uninsured are no more likely to believe the government has a role to play in providing health care coverage, or to favor the Affordable Care Act. Only 25% would expand the current legislation to do more.
