SEMRush and Social Media Today surveyed 800 digital marketers to gauge the relevance of Instagram in a social media marketing strategy. The research revealed that the platform is included in the marketing strategies of a majority of the marketers. It also found that Instagram Stories was the most used feature on the platform, Instagram Live being the least used.
The report found that 80% of digital marketers currently use Instagram Stories within their social media marketing efforts. The article provides that the feature currently has over 500 million daily active users.
Only 16.5% of the respondents indicated using Instagram Live for marketing. The author points out that the feature’s popularity is hard to measure given that Shopping Tags are in the early stages of being rolled out.
