Marketers must optimise for better mobile experiences to engage audiences this year.
A survey conducted by Facebook found that over 50% of holiday season shoppers in the US are likely to buy through their mobiles this year. About one in five consumers would begin holiday shopping in October or earlier.
At 26%, an app or webpage taking too long to load was identified by US shoppers as the top problem faced during the 2018 holiday shopping season. This was followed by the font size being too small at 25%.
The report also found that the US market saw the mobile-first segment grow by 33% last year. In the same period, around 49% of US shoppers were observed to be making purchases on a mobile device.
