Google is the brand millennials say they’d be proudest to work for, followed in the top 10 ranking understandably dominated by online and electronics names such as Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, Samsung, Microsoft, and Apple, according to YouGov BrandIndex, the only daily brand consumer perception research service.
The three non-tech brands on the reputation ranking are Nike, Disneyland/Disney World, and Johnson & Johnson.
For adults 35 and over, the top 10 ranking of brands they’d be proudest to work for shares just three names with millennials: Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, and Google.
Preferences among this older demo have a distinct medical leaning (number one brand Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Band Aid), along with home do-it-yourself (John Deere, Craftsman), electronics (Bose) and television (History Channel).
YouGov BrandIndex measured its universe of 1,400+ brands with its Reputation score, which asks respondents: "Would you be proud or embarrassed to work for this brand?" The results were divided into adults 18 to 34, and age 35 and over.
