Donald Trump has hit a new low in job approval for his second term, with women and older Americans hitting new record levels of disapproval in the November 21 - 24, 2025 Economist / YouGov Poll.
- 38% of U.S. adult citizens strongly or somewhat approve of Donald Trump's job performance, while 57% strongly or somewhat disapprove, a net disapproval of -19
- The 38% who approve of Trump is the smallest share of Americans to do so at any point in Trump's second term
- The 57% who disapprove is near the largest share to do so this term
- Trump's net job approval of -19 is tied for the lowest he has recorded in his second term, and is lower than Trump received in all but one Economist / YouGov poll conducted in Trump's first term
- That record low was recorded at nearly the identical stage of Trump's first term, in the November 12 - 14, 2017 poll; after that nadir, Trump's approval rose the very next week
- 31% of women approve of Trump's job performance, while 64% disapprove, a net approval of -33
- That's Trump's lowest net approval among women in his second term
- 46% of men approve and 51% disapprove of Trump's job performance, a net approval of -5
- Trump's net approval among women is down from -22 last week, while his net approval among men is up from -9
- Trump is also at record-low approval among older Americans
- 43% of 45- to 64-year-olds approve of Trump's job performance, while 54% disapprove, a net approval of -11
- 41% of Americans 65 and older approve of Trump, while 57% disapprove, a net approval of -15
- Both are the lowest net approval of Trump's job performance so far this term among these two age groups
