While the President’s approval rating is low, Congress fares even worse. It receives only a 10% approval rating in this week’s Economist/YouGov Poll. 67% - two out of three Americans – disapprove. For Congress, low approval ratings seem chronic. Even half of Democrats, whose party controls Congress, disapprove.

Likely voters in this poll, conducted just three weeks before Election Day, give Republicans candidates the edge when it comes to the November vote. 49% of likely voters say they will vote – or are leaning towards voting – for the Republican candidate in their district for U.S. House of Representatives, while 45% will vote – or lean towards voting – for the Democrat.
