Across the country, Americans are gearing up for Christmas – but how much do they actually like the holiday?

Half (52%) of Americans say they like Christmas a lot, according to a recent YouGov poll of 12,929 US adults. A quarter (23%) of Americans say they somewhat like the holiday, while 13% say they neither like nor dislike Christmas.

While most (75%) Americans say they like the holiday, women (56%) are more likely than men (48%) to say they like the holiday a lot.

Across the political aisle, holiday spirits are high – with a majority of Republicans (82%), Democrats (79%) and Independents (70%) saying they like Christmas.

One party in particular likes Christmas more than the rest. Republicans (62%) are more likely than Democrats (53%) and Independents (48%) to say they like Christmas “a lot.”
