Data shows that Orlando residents consider themselves the most easy going, while New Yorkers say they're the toughest
Residents of the Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne metro area are the most likely group out of America's 20 most populated urban hubs to describe the general attitude of the people living in their city as "easy going," according to a YouGov Omnibus survey.
Following Orlando for the country's most easy going city comes Houston (54%), Dallas-Fort Worth (54%), and Denver (53%). At the bottom of the list sit Chicago (37%), New York (36%), and Washington D.C. (33%).
At the same time, New Yorkers are the most likely group of city dwellers to say the general attitude of the people living in their area is "tough." Other self-described tough cities include Chicago (23%), Boston (22%), and Philadelphia (22%).
Meanwhile, America's largest cities least likely to label themselves as tough are Seattle-Tacoma (8%), Minneapolis-St. Paul (8%), Dallas-Fort Worth (7%), and Denver (6%).
Methodology: Total sample size was 4,019 US adults aged 18+ (i.e. approximately 200 people per metro area). Interviews were conducted online between July 27-31, 2017. All figures have been weighted and are representative of the adult population of each metro area.
