The opening round of the 2020 NFL draft on Thursday night started off predictably.

The Cincinnati Bengals used the No. 1 pick to draft Joe Burrow, the Heisman trophy winning quarterback from LSU.

A plurality of people that watched the draft (36%) think Burrow shows the most promise among the 2020 quarterback class, even if they don’t see him taking the Bengals to a title this year, according to immediate feedback from YouGov Direct.

YouGov Direct asked users who said they were interested in the NFL to watch the draft and answer questions about it. The results are based on 497 responses with a 4.4% margin of error.

Here’s how the YouGov Direct panel ranked the rest of the quarterbacks in terms of career potential.

Nearly a quarter see big things from Tua Tagovailoa, the Alabama quarterback who went No. 5 overall to the Miami Dolphins. Tagovailoa came into the draft with questions about his health after he suffered a number of injuries.

The other two first-round QBs, Justin Herbert (6th overall) and Jordan Love (26th overall) scored similar marks from the YouGov Direct panel. About one in eight (13%) think Herbert will have the best NFL career, while 12 percent say the same about Love.
