Prime Day has paid off for Amazon once again, but other retailers may have benefitted from the annual sale as well.

A YouGov poll conducted ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day found that about one-quarter of US adults said they planned to purchase something from Amazon during the sale. When we asked if people had bought things during the sale, more, about one-third (34%), reported making a purchase from Amazon during the July 15-16 sale, a difference of 9%.

But other retailers including Walmart, Best Buy, and Target offered special deals during the same dates in order to compete with Amazon. And it appears to have paid off: One in ten (11%) Americans say they made a purchase from Walmart during Amazon’s Prime Day event. Another 8% say they purchased an item from Target during the same time period. eBay (8%), Best Buy (4%), and Macy’s (4%) were other retailers who fared well during the event.

In line with findings from a YouGov poll conducted ahead of Prime Day, men are more likely than women to have made purchases from many of these retailers.
